As an employee, you make your wages or salary. You work for 40 hours, you get paid for 40 hours. The other thing is your employer’s goal is to pay you just enough so you don’t quit. And, in turn, an employee will only work just hard enough to not get fired.
Now, as an entrepreneur, you are never working for wages – you are working for profits. Eric Worre says, as you start building your business, you will go underpaid for quite a while. Then, for a short time, you will be paid appropriately for your efforts. And then, you will be excessively compensated for your work.

To make the transition from employee to entrepreneur is not an easy process. You need to change your mindset, the way you think about your work and the way you get paid. In your business, you aren’t trading your hours for dollars. You aren’t even working to generate an income. You are working on building an asset, and that asset is what will generates income for years to come. You will have to become accustomed to investing both your time and money in things that don’t necessarily return an immediate profit.

The number one thing is you first need to invest in yourself. As a Network Marketer, your personal development will be THE most important thing you have to invest in. You will need to learn new skills to market your business – and that means investing in training.
There are all different types of training out there for Network Marketers…books, video training courses, audio training courses, seminars and events, and even one-on-one coaching. They all cost money, and you typically get what you pay for.

Now this is where most people allow being cheap to keep them broke. They invest as little as possible in themselves and their business and they slowly go broke because they never learn the skills they need to become successful in their business.
If you have an employee mindset you will tend to look at a training course and only see the costs. As an entrepreneur you will look at a training course and see the value that it can bring to your business. If a $297 training course can help you make $1,000, the employee only see’s that it costs $297. If they have $297 to spend, they may or may not buy it.
The entrepreneur will look at the same training course and see that it will make him over $700, and whether they have the $297 in their account or not, they find a way to buy it and generate that revenue as soon as possible.

So what training should you invest in? At the very least, I would get the book, “Go Pro” by Eric Worre. After that, it really depends on what type of lead generation strategy you want to focus on.

Once you have figured out what your lead generation strategy is, you can find an appropriate training course to learn what you need to start generating those leads.
