Email Marketing Hacks How to add subscribers without confirmation in aweber
Hey guys, Glen Murray, glenmurrayonline.com and affiliateprofitpages.com . How are you hope, you’re doing great um? This video is about email, marketing, hacks, and this is how to add subscribers without confirmation in aweber, so um that may sound confusing if you’re just getting started.
But it’s gon na be a big hiccup if you’re gon na use aweber and i highly recommend using aweber, some people don’t like aweber. I really like aweber um. The two autoresponders that um i like i have been using extensively, are aweber and get response and i find aweber a much more robust, robust tool. You pay a little bit more, but you get what you pay for. There’S too many little uh hiccups and get response from time to time anyways.

Just show you exactly how to do that. All right so, first off so here’s the problem and if you don’t know what an autoresponder is, let’s just start there because i’ve met so many people that have no knowledge about affiliate marketing and i’m gon na give you a bird’s-eye view. Basically, affiliate marketing is really easy. You um basically get an affiliate link and you share that link with someone and if they buy something the person that owns that product usually a digital product, sometimes it could be on amazon any kind of product.
But i like to deal on the digital products um, they would pay you a commission and that’s it now the biggest myth that people have is that you go get this affiliate link and automatically you go just send that list out on social media and you’re, going To be rich, or you write up one blog and you put a link in there and you’re going to get rich. It doesn’t work that way how it works, and this is how everyone makes their money. You have to build an email list like this is the bottom line, and people go oh email’s dead, no email is how everything is delivered. The internet started with email. The first thing was a message sent, it was an email.
Email is how you get all your information from all your mail like, like you know, people say oh chatbots or this, and that no it’s not because people can people like, like you, have to remember, like we always go back to our email and if you’re not Checking your email then you’re, i don’t know, maybe you’re not in this world, but this is where we get all our information. We get our confirmation. We look for our shipping information when someone’s going to send us something contact all that kind of stuff. It’S done through email. So how do you do affiliate marketing you get that affiliate link, but you just don’t go post it on your social media or whatever you send it to your list.
So what do you do you build a list that is looking for those products that you want to promote? It’S that simple. Now here’s one of the one of the deals about an autoresponder, an autoresponder, is simply a place for all those emails of of your customers or your your your your subscribers. They live and you’re able to automatically send to hundreds, if not thousands tenths, tens of thousands people have hundred thousand people email this and you’re able to do it, because these programs are set up to do that kind of mass mailing. If you were to do that in gmail, it would shut you down um period, now, you’ve probably heard of something called mailchimp um constant contact, those kind of things those programs are great.
If you are an entity – and you want to provide a newsletter, they frown on affiliate marketing. So you have to go somewhere where there’s they allow affiliate marketing and that’s where we get into aweber and get response and those are the two kind of big ones. There’S activecampaign sendlane um, those are some of the other ones send shark, but basically the two big sort of big ones are aweber and get response. I prefer. I have both and i prefer aweber much more over get response because you can do so much more now.
One of the things that people get upset about in aweber is that first off, if you get a brand new account um that used to be that you used to pay right away now, you can have a free account up to 500 subscribers, which, if you follow My methods you’re gon na be at 500 in no time and if you want to start building a list right away, click, the link below and start building a list and you don’t need all you really need – is the autoresponder element of it and, and once you Have that set up, and it shows you exactly how to set it up in the system, but um going back to one of the biggest problems with aweber that that people have. Is that you, you need to have this um confirmation um turn off, so i’m gon na show you that right now, so that you can see what i’m talking about um. Let’S share my screen here and guys. You know what i’m going to uh. Don’T have skin install later, okay, anyways um, so guys this is.
This is sort of a list of my lists in um aweber. I’Ve got lots of lists lots of testing, but this is one. I’Ve just started building, so i’ve got 733 subscribers on it and it’s called affiliate profit pages. I i basically it’s just a generic landing page, but let’s go into it and i’ll show you the list settings, and this is where people get really really stuck, and it’s called the opt-in confirmation as soon as it loads here for some reason guys. My computer slows down when i’m doing the videos [ Music, ] um.
I don’t know why, but it just is. This is like snails today, um so anyways, there’s there’s this thing called the confirmation. What it is is basically is when someone subscribes to your list, especially when you have a brand new aweber account. They um aweber wants them to make sure that you’re, just not adding you’re, not disbanding people or adding people to your list, so they send them an email and you’ve probably seen this, and they ask you to confirm that you want to be on that. That email list – i don’t know why this isn’t loading guys.
I apologize um. Let me just um. Let me see if i can pause my video here and i will let it load all right guys. Sorry, i had to restart aweber there for some reason: um. Okay, so here is one of the biggest problems with when you have a brand new account and by the way i recommend getting the free aweber, so you can play around and see what i’m talking about.
So when you create a list. Basically, it’s super easy um. You go to lists and you just you just basically create a new list and you walk through it’s very simple. You know list name whatever you want to call it list description. So this is one and i’ll give you guys this.
This um this list and this little thing if you want um and i’ll, show you how it works with the with the landing page so um, so you personalize your list. You know put up put whatever information you want to put in there, but here’s the thing: here’s the confirmation message, one so now on new accounts guys this is going to be um. This is going to be turned on and you’re not going to be able to turn that off now why they do this, especially on new accounts, because basically they don’t want people just building a big lesson, spamming or importing lists. So they kind of want to protect the integrity, because those mail servers are our lifeblood, so they don’t want to open to spam coming from it. So what they want to do is they want to make sure that the integrity of the user um?
So basically, what you want to do is you want to add it by via api. So in i use click funnels guys and again. If you want to play around this, you can get a 14 day. Free click funnels account. I recommend going and checking it out, or else i’ll, just give you this free funnel to play with.
So you can see how it works. Now i’m not going to adjust this funnel, because this funnel is actually live so, but i’m going to show you exactly how to do it i’ll show you on a different funnel, but i just wanted to show you this funnel and i’ll. Give you this one. You can import it and that would start your 14 day. Click funnels account and here’s a little hack at day 10.
Just message them and say: hey. Can i have another two weeks before you have to pay for it and then it works out to be about 97 a month, it’ll be the best investment you make for your business, but i i anyways, i recommend just going and try it out, so you can See how it works so in here i want to integrate this form so that when someone puts their information there, it’s going to go into my aweber account now you’ll see here. So you, when you’re in a page, it’s just a page builder right, you can click in and you can edit anything you want so up here. There’S there’s a settings button right at the top here and it says, integrations now um when you first, when you first get into click funnels you want to in your account settings you set up integrations and you just there’s a little button that says: connect to aweber, Really really simple boom. You connect to it um anyways, so you so once you do that you click on integrations here now, as you can see, mine is integrated through something called an api right, so i don’t have to worry about it.
I just basically, if i want to disconnect to reconnect it i’d, do that and then i’d pick aweber integrate into an existing list. It goes and looks at my aweber account and it finds affiliate profit pages right. So let’s say let’s say um. Let me go to a different list here, um just because i want to. I want to demonstrate on how you would do it um.
Actually, you know i can use it. I can use this form i’ll, just use the form here. So to get around that that you would create a form and i’ve already done – i think i’ve done it in this one. Oh no! So this is perfect, so you click go click on so make sure you’re in the correct list here you’d create a sign up, form right and then you just do a basic form guys.
I don’t recommend asking for more than their name and email, and maybe you just want to get their email. It’S nice to get their name, because when you’re doing your email marketing it’s nice to be able to address them by their name. So i go and go see this basic one. That’S all you need guys because you’re not actually going to be using um you’re not going to be using the elements here, you’re just using the back end of the form um so boom, first name um yeah. I just want to do full name um i don’t want.
I don’t need their name required if they want to give it to me. If they don’t have to and then let’s say field and then i’m going to go down, an email value is email right and email is always required. There’S nothing! You can do about that, so it’s always required. So i’m going to save my form, i’m gon na.
I don’t need to so it’s saved, i’m gon na go to the next page here, um my web form now when you’re in here. This is where you’re going to make the custom page where you’re going to send them. So what happens? Is someone opts into your list now what’s cool about this, this this list is is and once you get the api working, it’s great really great, because you don’t have to fiddle with this. But when you, when you’re, when you’re fiddling with this – and i can show you how to do it right into click funnels, you would enter the url where you want them to go after.
They give you their information right, so maybe you’d say and like. Why that why that page, this page is so cool. Is you can see that it just says warning, don’t even think about trying to make money online until after you’ve seen this right, so you could send them to anything. After this any kind of offer you go to warrior plus go find it go, find a warrior plus offer a clickbank offer whatever it is, because you’re just telling them they need to go watch something before they think about making money online, and usually you just want To find a tool that they’re going to use, so this is a great landing page to have that you can, just you know, send people to whatever you want so uh, i’m going to leave this for, like i’ll put in um. Let’S see what am i pointing at right now, uh general see if you have the api, so this is the link i’m sending them to right now, so i’ll go back there and i’ll just put that there.
So if um and you can open it in the same window, it doesn’t matter oh and if they’re already subscribed, you want to make sure you’re sending them too, because you’d hate for someone to come back and resubscribe to your list doesn’t mean they’re going to be Added to your list twice, but you you’d hate for them to come back and resubscribe to your list, but then they don’t go anywhere. So basically you save those right. So now you’ve got a page that they’re redirecting to go to step three. Now this is how you’re going to get the information that you’re going to need. So you want to click on.
I will install my form. You’Ve got two choices. You have javascript or raw html. You want the raw html and you want to unclick check that this. Just makes it all all the styling from aweber, but we don’t need that so you’re going to check that and you’re going to just copy this right.
Now we’re going to go over to our click funnels and i’m, like i said, i’m going to show you on a different funnel guys because i don’t want to um. I don’t want to because it’s a live funnel, so i don’t want someone coming in and and trying to sign up while we’re doing this demo um anyway. Let’S let me find a funnel. I can do it on and if you don’t have clickfunnels guys take. Do the do the free trial – and i definitely go play around with it for for a couple of weeks, and you can see what you can do with it’s very, very, very, very powerful.
It’S it’s it’s the number one funnel builder, because that’s what it is all right! I’M gon na find an older funnel. Let’S see super affiliate system i’ll, try this one. I haven’t promoted this for a while, so um! Oh, this is perfect.
Okay, so you go into you’re going to edit the page and basically, let’s see what i have this hooked up to um. So you go to settings integrations right, so this is perfect. This is already going to a form. This is going to another autoresponder i use, but this is what you do. So, let’s remove this integration, so uh you would select so select integration right and right here.
Oh sorry, guys we need to do a step here. Sorry about that, so we need to go out into our account and into here. You want to go to account settings. This is your main account settings and you want to go to integrations and then you would just add and we call it a hook. It’S web hook, so you would just add a go down below here and they’re, going to give you little buttons to add so you’d go add new integration and you would do you would so if you were doing api, you just click that, but since you’re doing An html form you just click this one html html form, so you click that name it whatever you want and then you have a and then you have a full, an integration.
So back to what i have you’ll see that i’ve got this. I added i just called it demo test right, all right so back to the funnels and we’re going to go in and we’re going to um add that integration to that that that funnel, so why? Why do we do this? How why is this making a workaround? Well, the the thing that um that aweber wants aweber says you don’t have to have a double if a double confirmed opt-in, if you’re using their form huh.
So if you’re using their form, you can do that. So you go here edit page and then you would go to let’s come on load back to the integrations and it’s still connected because i didn’t save it last time. You’D, remove the integration, select integration right, you select the html form and then you would just integrate existing form. Now, there’s a one little trick, guys so you’d paste what you have uh, if you guys don’t know short keys, it’s it’s uh control v is to paste. So one thing you can’t put any script in here and aweber, even though you’re you’re not it’s not a script, they still add a little script.
So what you want to do is you want to find where the script starts right here, and you want to copy that down to where the script ends and just delete that so now we would parse and save it. So parsing means it’s going to say. What’S what what are what are these things here right? So all i have on this. One is an email, so i would go here.
I would sync the email and then i would save it and now this is now integrated into that six figure thing right. So if i, if i tested this right now, it would do it and i wouldn’t need to turn off the the crazy uh thing. So that is oops. Let me get back on here and hey. So that’s that’s exactly how you do it.
It’S a really great work around, so i recommend getting a new aweber account for free up to 500. Subscribers get a free, clickfunnels, account number at day, 10, ask for an extension, so you can pay for it and you can probably get a month out of it and you want to play with it. But i want to show you one really important thing and i’m going to jump back into this list here to show you um. So it keeps asking me that don’t ask again install later okay um when you’re in your list. Here you want to go to subscribers, and so you so people are going to start opting into your list right, they’re, going to be deposited here and you’re going to start emailing them daily.
Now. One thing i want to show you: you want to do basically a segment. So how do you do a segment? Well, you could pick one of these. Let’S pick this low engagement, low engagement is telling me it’s going to do a search and i’ll show you what low engagement search is for so it says no opens since 30 days ago, any open since 90 days ago and date added is, is on or after Now i’m going to remove this one and i’m going to remove this one.
So what i want to know is, i want to have a list. I want to have people any opens right since 90 days ago. So let’s say you’ve been building this for nine days, but i want them. The date is before two days ago, and why do i do this? Because i’m going to be giving them three emails right?
I’M gon na be sending them a follow-up sequence for three days. So i don’t want to inundate them with a couple more because i want them to whatever they whatever that first opt-in series is, is my number one principal program i want them to join, so i don’t want to kind of get them. I don’t want to send them a whole bunch of emails right away as soon as they sign up with offer offer offer. I want them to have those first couple days of just that one email sort of going through it then so date added is before two days ago. So once they’ve been on my list from for two days, right and they’ve had and they’ve opened they’ve opened it.
I’M going to save this as active right, so i can save that now. This is going to continually update so every time someone opens an email and they’ve been added prior to two days ago, they’re going to go on my active list. So, what’s great is when i go do a broadcast cast right when i decide to send a message and do a broadcast, i can pick my list. I can also add a whole bunch of lists, but i can also add that segment so go ahead and do this to all your lists and depending on how long your campaign is right. So let’s say you have a um a seven day or a 12 day.
Follow-Up series – and maybe you don’t want them to start getting your other broadcast emails for five six seven days. You want them to really concentrate on those first, five or seven emails that they’re going to get from you um before you start sending them more offers. So you could do you could change this to like data’s before seven days ago, so it means that they joined they. They were added, so this is saying date. Added date is before two days ago, so they were added prior to december prior to january 11th.
Um. So does that make sense guys that will keep your list incredibly um active? Let me get back onto my screen here. Where am i so that’s going to keep your your your list really really active and your open rate’s going to continue to go up because you’re only sending it to people that are open now you might be saying well what, if someone doesn’t open my email, but They don’t open your email. You can’t change that.
There’S nothing you can do to you know it’s probably gone into a spam. Folder uh it went in their promotions, folder they weren’t really interested. It could be a number of things now. You can try to re-engage people before you delete them. Like i say if someone hasn’t opened an email in your list, especially when you’re starting out within 90 days, delete them just delete them.
You have to be able to do this. Just i know you. Maybe you bought a solo ad and you’re going. Oh, that lead cost me 49 cents. I don’t want to delete it well, you have to learn to delete it.
Um, it’s better to to have a clean list of active, opens and a whole bunch of paying for how much people on your list that aren’t opening which drives your open rate way down, and you just end up going right into the spam folder. So you want to keep that going all the time delete the ones that don’t open. Now, if you want to every let’s say every sunday or every monday morning, just go, send an email to your entire list. Send it to everybody right, don’t don’t segment that list! So you’d hit broadcast and just send it to everyone and because if you get an open of someone that hasn’t opened it in a long time, they’re going to be added they’re going to go into this active thing.
So next time you know on monday afternoon, whenever you’re going to send your next broadcast or maybe you’re doing it once a day. Maybe tuesday morning, when you send your broadcast you’d go back to picking all the lists you want to send to and hitting that active segment. They’Re going to have been added to the active segment because they opened that general broadcast that you did for everyone. This method out, there’s nothing to lose. It won’t cost you anything now. They just give you enough each day for you to kind of go okay and let your your brain think about how it works, because at the end of that 15 days, you’re going to have a whole bunch of aha moments, you’re going to be going!
Oh, oh! I, oh i get it you’re going to learn to be how to tell your story you’re, going to be able to learn how to be a leader you’re going to learn so many things. So i really recommend it. It’S like seven bucks to take. Take the uh.

You get to do whatever you want whenever you want and you basically get to make money by hitting the send button and you can go on to do whatever you want all right guys. Hopefully that’s helpful for you, especially if you’re getting started. I know it can be a big uh hurdle to to get that um that api or the the the opt-in confirmation off now, if you want to just go, get a get response account i’ll, put a link for that too um guys by the way. These are affiliate programs. You can just use the api now. That being said, sometimes their api turns off and on i’ve had issues with it. In click funnels, it keeps telling me it’s turning off and on um just today, i don’t know if you’ve noticed if you’ve gotten any emails from someone that uses getresponse, none of the hyperlinks in the emails are are highlighted, like they just looked like regular text. So as long as we’re talking about yeah, i’m previewing, my email and it just looks like regular text – there’s no lines, no one’s gon na know where to click in the email. So those are the things that kind of get response.
